Before I give you my picks for OSF, I have to share my experience so I can wipe this Kool Aid grin off my face. Paint me green and call me Kermit, ladies – I met LL Cool J tonight. HUGE shout out to my girl Beverly from The Grammy peoples (Recording Academy), for making my soiree happen. Estelle & LL Cool J turned out Terminal 5 for the Grammy Celebration Concert Tour presented by T Mobile, and it was LIVE. At the end of the show, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Cool James and lord have mercy – that man is FIONE. Our convo was but a few minutes, but he’s so personable. Not really what I expected (don’t ask what I was expecting!). I didn’t kiss him, but I sure did shake his hand and told him it was a pleasure to meet his fine ass him.
Him: Hi there
Me: Hi sir, it’s a pleasure to meet you. **swoon**
Him: Pleasure’s mine – what’s your name?
Me: Ann Marie **swoon**
Him: Well Ann Marie, the pleasure is still mine.
Me: “SWOOOOOON”

See? Gushing…lol He really is that fione y’all.
Okay, and now on to the music. This weeks theme: Out of my box. This is kind of hard for me, because I honestly do listen to a little bit of everything and I have made that clear here many times. I guess being the soul head that I am, my choices may give you a jolt – but I doubt it.

As I have aged, I’ve actually grown an appreciation for the two.
I went to an Italian/Greek school. Mind you, my best friend was the one who was into alternative and got me hooked – Echo and The Bunnymen and Billy Bragg included…lol
